a. தலைவலி ஒரு பக்கத்தில் குத்தல் வலிகண்டு வேதனை செய்வதுத் தவிர 15 நாள் அல்லது 15 மாதத்திற் கொரு முறை அதிகரித்துத் தானே சாந்திடைவதாயும் இருக்கும் இது திரிதோஷத்தினால் பிறக்கும். எப்பக்கத்தில் அதிகரிக்கிறதோ அப்பக்கத்துக் கண்ணைக் கெடுக்கும். இல்லாவிடில் அப்பக்கத்துக் காதைச் செவிடாக்கும்.
b. A neuraligic disease of the head in which a violent and excruciating pain of a piercing nature is felt on one half of the cranium, which makes the patient feel giddy. It is due to the concerted action of the three Doshas. It may occur at regular intervals of a fortnight or a month or may not follow any distinct periodicity. It usually affects the eye or the ear on the said part.
