அத்த ரேகை

அஸ்த ரேகை - மருத்துவத்தொழிலுக்கு யோக்கியதை உடையவன் என்பதற்கு அறிகுறியாக அவன் உள்ளங்கையில் அமைந்துள்ள ரேகை அதாவது வரிகள். இதற்குத் தமிழில் உள்ளங்கை ரேகை என்று பெயர். இந்த ரேகை இல்லாதவன் மருத்துவத் தொழிலுக்குப் பிரயோசனப் படமாட்டான் என்றும் கல்வித் திறமையில்லாத மருத்துவர்களுக்குக் கூட இந்த ரேகை மாத்திரம் அமைந்திருக்கப் பெற்றால் அவர்களே சிறந்தவர்களென்றும் கொள்ளப்படும். அவர்களைத் தான் கைராசி யுடையவர்களென்று உலக வழக்காய்ச் சொல்வதுண்டு - A peculiar link or curling mark in the palm of the hand as an indication that he will be proficient in medicine. According to Palmistry (Saamoodricam) any man, having this mark even through he be without sufficient education or culture, would be a qualified person for practicing medicine and his practice will always be a successful one. In common interpretation, such as individual is said to have a lucky hand ‘Kairasi’.
