அகால பகிஷ்டை

- a. அகால சூதகம் - ஏற்பட்ட காலத்திலல்லாது இயற்கைக்கு விரோதமாக உண்டாகும் மாத விடாய் அல்லது தீட்டு. (உதிரம் பெண்களுக்கு 12 வயது முதல் 40 வயது வரைக்கும் சாதாரணமாக 28 நாளைக்கொருமுறை யோனித் துவாரத்தின் வழியாக வெளிப்படுவதால் இப்போக்கிற்கு மாதவிடாய் அல்லது மாத முழுக்கு என்று பெயர் இடப்பட்டது.) சிலருக்குக் கருப்பந் தரித்தும் மாத மாதம் சோணிதம் வெளிப்பட்டுக் கொண்டேயிருக்கம். இதற்குத் ‘தங்கு பிண்டம்’ எனவும் வடமொழியில் ‘சுப்தி பிண்டம்’ எனவும் பெயர். மற்றுஞ் சிலருக்குக் கருப்ப காலத்திலல்லாது மற்றக் காலங்களிற் சூதகம் தோன்றாது.
இத் தீட்டு தேகக்கூறு, சோகை, கருப்பவாயு முதலான நோய்களுக்குத் தக்கவாறு மேற்கண்ட கெடுப்படிக் காணாமல் வேறுபட்டுக் காணும் .இம் முறைக்கேடு சிலருக்கு 23 வயதிலேயே ஆரம்பித்துச் சில வருஷங்களுக்குள் போக்கு முழுவதுமே நின்று விடும் அல்லது 77 வயது வரை நீடித்துக் கொண்டும் இருக்கும்.
b. Menstruation which does not occur regularly at the usual period - Irregular menstruation. During the menstrual life (12 to 40 years) is generally occurs once in 28 days. Sometimes, it may occur every during the whole period of pregnancy or only during pregnancy and not at other times. It may also be irregular owing to diseases of various kinds such as, Anaemia, Hysteria etc. At the end of menstrual life usually occurring between the ages 45 and 50 (Menopause) this irregularity may commence. Menopause may occur even as early as the 23rd year or as late as the 77th year. The uterine discharge (Metrorrhagia) occurring between the menstrual periods is independent of the menstrual discharge. Haemorrhage from the uterus is due to systemic disease. It is sometimes seen during the course of eruptive fevers-Pseudo-menstruation.
