a. சிவப்புப் பூப் பூர்க்கும் ஓர் வகை மரம். இது அச்சி தேசத்தினின்று கொண்டு வந்து பயிராக்கப்பட்டது. மைசூரில் இம்மரம் வளரும். இதன் பட்டையின் நாரினால் கயிறு திரிக்கப்படும்.

b. A tree peculiar to Acheen, with long searlet flowers – Cordia sebastena. It was brought from Acheen and naturalised in India (Mysore). Ropes are twisted from the fibres of its bark.
