அட்டமா சித்தி

[ Attamaasiththi]

a. எட்டுவித சித்திகள், அட்ட சித்தி - யோக மார்க்கத்தை அனுசரித்த சித்தர்கள், அடையும் எட்டுவித சித்திகள், (பலன்கள்) அவையாவன.

b. The eight kinds of Siddhis or super human powers attained by Siddhars addicted to Yoga practice and they are:
   i. அனிமா – அணுவாகுதல், the faculty of reducing oneself to the size of an atom.
   ii. மகிமா – பெரிதாதல், the power of increasing one’s bulk without limit.
   iii. கரிமா – பாரமாகுதல் அல்லது சூக்கும் மாகுதல், the power of increasing one’s weight or disintegrating the atoms of the body and enabling it to pass through more solid matter.
   iv. இலகிமா – இலேசாகுதல், becoming very light like feather Levity.
   v. பிராந்தி – விரும்பியவற்றை அடைதல், the power of attaining everything desired.
   vi. பிராகாமியம் – இயற்கைக்கு விரோதமாக விரும்பிய விடத்திற்குச் செல்லல், the power to overcome natural obstructions and go any where.
   vii. ஈசத்துவம் – முத்தொழிலியற்றல், supreme domination over animates and inanimates in nature i.e., power to create, preserve and destroy.
   viii. வசித்துவம் – யாவற்றையும் தன் வசப்படுத்தல், இயற்கையைமாற்றிக் கோரிய வடிவ மாதல், power of changing the course of nature or assuming any form in creation.
a. எட்டுவித சித்திகளைக் கொடுக்கும் சாரணை தீர்ந்த இரசக் குளிகை.

a. அட்டசித்துக் குளிகை - அட்டமா சித்திகளை யாடுவதற்கு ஆதாரமாகச் சித்தர்களுபயோகிக்கும் சாரணை தீர்க்கப்பட்ட ஓர் இரசக் குளிகை.

b. A kind of mercurial pill sufficiently animated and used by Siddhars with a view to help them in exercising the eight super-human powers attained by them.
