a. அகரு மரத்தின் கட்டை, இதைப் பீனசம், தலைவலி, தினவு, புடைகள் முதலியவைகளுக்கு உபயோகிக்கலாம்.

b. Fragrant aloe wood of the tree – Amyris Agallocha. It is used in catarrh of the nose, headache, prurience, swellings etc. It is very doubtful if this could be the agil mentioned in the Tamil Materia Medica and sold in bazaars. The variety appears to be a different one.
