அதிசரணை

அதிசரண யோனி - அதி + சரணம் + யோனி = அதிகமாக யோனிக்குள் சஞ்சரித்தல், பருத்த ஆண்குறியையுடைய புருடச் சையோகத்தின் மிகுதியாலும், அல்லது கலவியில் பல முறையிலும் திருப்தியடையாத பெண்களின் அடங்காக் காம மிகுதியாலும் பெண்களுக்கு யோனியில் வீக்கமும் வலியுங்கண்டு விந்து தங்காமற் போகும்படிச் செய்யும் ஓர் நோய். இது சிலேட்டும் தோஷத்தினாற் பிறந்த ஐந்து வகை யோனி ரோகங்களில் ஒன்று. இதில் புருஷப் புணர்ச்சியில்லாமலும் யோனி திரவிக்கும் - A disease of the vagina in which the semen is not retained or fructified in consequence of inflammation and pain in the part due to excess of sexual intercourse with a male having a stout penis or to an insatiable desire for intercourse on the part of the female. It is one of the 5 kinds of diseases arising from phlegmatic causes. It is also said that such a condition of the vagina may be brought about even without intercourse.
