a. சடராக்கினியின் மிகுதியால் உண்டாகித் தலை, நெற்றி, மார்பு, முதுகு, முதலிய இடங்களில் சஞ்சரித்து வலி, வியர்வை, வாந்தி, பிரமை முதலிய குணங்களைக் காட்டும் ஓர் வகை வாத நோய்.

b. A nervous disease affecting the head, forehead, chest, back etc. supposed to be due to the generation of heat in the gastric region. It is marked by pain, perspiration, vomiting vertigo etc.
