அபிநியாச சன்னி

a. அகோரமாய்ச் சுரங்காய்ந்து, பசியின்மை, முகபளபளப்பு, உடம்பு வலி, மேற்சுவாசம், பலவீனம், பஞ்சேந்திரியத்தன்மைக் குறைவு, மயங்கிய நித்திரை, அறிவின்மை முதலிய குணங்களைக் காட்டும் ஓர் வகைச் சன்னிபாத சுரம்.இது வாத பித்த சிலேட்டுமம் சமமாக அதிகரிப்பதினால் உண்டாகி 15 நாளைக்குள் மரணத்தை உண்டாக்கும்.

b. Kind of typhoid fever characterised by high temperature, loss of appetite, glossiness of face, pain all over the body, hard-breathing, weakness, depression of vital powers of the five sensory organs, somnolence, loss of consciousness etc.It is said to due to disordered state or abnormal condition of the 3 fluids (humours) prevailing in the systems. The incubation period varies from one to fifteen days. A case of sanni baadha suram, attended with somnolence is known as Abiniyaasa sanni.
