அந்தர் வேகசுரம்

a. அந்தர் + வேகம் + சுரம், அதாவது எலும்பிற்குள்ளிருக்கும் மச்ச தாதுவைப் பற்றி ஏற்படும் ஓர் வகைச் சுரம். இதனால் உடம்பெரிச்சல், தாகம், பொருந்தா வார்த்தை, பெருமூச்சு, தலைசுழற்றல், அஸ்திசூலை, மலபந்தம் முதலிய குணங்களுண்டாகும். சுசுருத சம்மிதைப்படி இதற்கு கம்பீர சுரம் என்று பெயர்.

b. Internal + force + fever, i.e. a fever due to the affection of the marrow in the bone. It is attended with a burning sensation in the body, thirst, incoherent expressions, sighing, recline of the head, darting pain in the bones, (osteomyelitic) constipation etc – Osteomyelitic fever. It is called by a different name according to Susruta Sambita as mentioned above.
