a. அந்தரம் + வாயு + கிரகணி = bowels + air + chronic diarrhoea - குடலிற் தங்கிய வாயுவினால் உண்டவுடன் வயிறிரைந்து பேதியாகித் தாகம், தளர்ச்சி, விலாவிசிவு, விக்கல் முதலிய குணங்களை உண்டாக்கும் ஓர் வகைக் கிரகணி.

b. A form of chronic diarrhoea characterised by rumbling noise in the stomach and purging, thirst, fatigue, spasmodic pain on the sides, hiccough etc. It is due to gas or air in the intestines (flatus) and occurs soon after meals – Flatulent diarrhoea.
