அறுகின் வேரைப் போல் கழுத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் முதலில் கிளைத்து எழும்புவதும் பிறகு அழுந்துவதுமாயுள்ள ஓர் தீராத நோய், இது சுரம், இருமல், வாந்தி, பக்கவலி, உடம்பிளைப்பு ஆகிய குணங்களைக் காட்டும் - A disease showing itself by crops of glandular tumours round the neck, which suppurate and heal up every time at the onset. It is marked by fever, cough, vomiting and pain in the sides, emaciation etc. Later on the lesions heal completely, in some cases they become incurable.**
