அசநோற்பவ விக்கல்

a. உணவுக் குற்றங்களினால் வயிற்றில் வாதமேற்பட்டு அதனால் தொண்டைக் கம்மல், அற்பத்தொனி, சிணுக்கிருமல், முதலியவைகளை யுண்டாக்குமோர் விக்கல். இது ஐந்து வகை விக்கல்களில் ஒன்று. இந் நோய் முக்கியமாய் காரமான பதார்த்தங்கள், எளிதில் சீரணிக்காத கடின பண்டங்கள் முதலியவைகளைச் சாப்பிடுவதனால் உண்டாகும்.

b. A kind of hiccough due to the neurotic condition of the stomach arising from dietary defects or indigestion. It is marked by sore throat, feeble voice and a slight cough. It is one of the five kinds of hiccough described in the Indian Medical Science – Singultus gastricus nervous. It is chiefly due to eating hot substances and other articles of food not easily digestible.
