அக்கரக் கழிச்சல்

வாய்ப்புண்ணாகி, குடல் வெந்து, அசீரணபேதியை உண்டாக்கும் ஓர் நோய். - A disease marked by sore throat, gastro-intestinal catarrh with diarrhoes – Sprue
அக்கரன் - மூன்று வித வாந்திபேதிகளிலொன்று; இது, நாபியின் கீழ்ச்சார்ந்து, உஷ்ண பேதிபோலும், செரியா மாந்தம் போலும், வெண்மையாயும், சோறு சோறாகவும், பேதி கண்டு, குடலிரைச்சல், குமட்டல், நெஞ்சுக்குத்தல், நாவறட்சி, தாகம் கிடைபொருந்தாமை, வியர்வை,வலி, உடல் குளிரல், முதலிய குணங்களைக் காட்டும் ஓர் வகை வாந்தி பேதி.

குளிருமுடல் சோறாக வெடுக்கும் பேதி
நேர்ந்ததிலே பருக்கை விழுந்தாகங் காணும்
நேராகக் காலுடம்புக் கடுப்புக் காணும்.
One of the three kinds of Cholera contemplated in the Tamil Medical science. It is marked by an acute catarrhal inflammation of the stomach and the intestines, enteric pain, thirst, perspiration, parched tongue, restlessness, rumbling noise in the stomach, nausea, chest pain, presence of partially digested food in the stools, cold skin etc. The other two kinds are – Komban and Paudwan.**
