அகத்தியன்

அத்திரிய என்று அழைக்கப்பெற்ற ஆதி அகத்திய முனி. இவர் சப்த ரிஷிகளுள் ஒருவர் - One of the seven Rishis known as Ancient Agastyan in the Aryan epic period.
தமிழையும், வாத, வைத்திய, யோக, ஞான நூற்களையும் இயற்றிய பதினெண் சித்தர்களுள் ஒருவர் - One of the 18 Tamil Siddhars, the author of the Tamil language, medicine, yoga, Philosophy etc. see அகத்தியர்.
NOTE:- It is very much doubted if the Aryan Atry known as Agastyan is the same Agastyan, the author of the Tamil language and one of the 18 of the Tamill Siddhars' School.
